Mount it with the built-in magnet or the included 3M adhesive disc, and the PIR sensor takes over from there: walk within about 4 meters and the warm 2700-3000K glow switches on, holding for roughly 15 seconds before fading out. The wood-grain shell lifts off its base in one motion, so it works just as well as a handheld light for closets and cabinets as it does mounted in a hallway. A USB-rechargeable 500mAh battery keeps it running for about two weeks of everyday motion-sensing use, or up to 8 hours of continuous light.
